By using our website, scheduling an appointment, or engaging in counseling services, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by these Terms, along with our Privacy Policy and any applicable laws and regulations.

If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, please do not use our services.

2. Services Provided

New Birth Family Counseling offers professional mental health counseling, wellness consultations, functional medicine services, and related educational resources. Services may be delivered in person, virtually via telehealth platforms, or through educational materials and workshops.

These services are intended for individuals, couples, families, and groups seeking emotional, mental, or holistic wellness support.

3. Eligibility

To access services, you must:

  • Be at least 18 years of age or have legal guardian consent.

  • Provide accurate and complete information during intake and scheduling.

  • Not be under the influence of substances during any therapy session (unless actively discussed in treatment).

We reserve the right to refuse services or terminate a therapeutic relationship if these conditions are not met.

4. Confidentiality & HIPAA Compliance

All therapeutic services are provided in accordance with HIPAA standards. Your personal health information (PHI) is confidential and will not be shared without your written consent, except as required by law (e.g., risk of harm to self/others, court order, or mandatory reporting of abuse).

5. Client Responsibilities

Clients agree to:

  • Attend scheduled sessions on time or notify us in advance if rescheduling is needed (see cancellation policy).

  • Participate actively and honestly in treatment.

  • Maintain appropriate behavior toward staff and other clients.

Failure to adhere to these responsibilities may result in termination of services.

6. Cancellation & No-Show Policy

We require a minimum of 24 hours’ notice for appointment cancellations. Missed appointments or late cancellations may incur a fee and could impact continued eligibility for services.

Repeated no-shows may result in discharge from care.

7. Payment & Insurance

New Birth Family Counseling accepts private pay and select insurance plans. Payment is due at the time of service unless other arrangements have been made.

Clients are responsible for:

  • Understanding their insurance benefits and coverage.

  • Paying any copays, deductibles, or fees not covered by insurance.

  • Notifying us of any changes in coverage or contact information.

Unpaid balances may be subject to collection efforts after reasonable attempts to resolve the matter.

8. Telehealth Services

We offer virtual sessions via HIPAA-compliant platforms. By engaging in telehealth, you acknowledge:

  • You have access to a secure and private internet connection.

  • You will participate from a confidential environment.

  • You understand that there are risks to electronic communication, despite encryption and safeguards.
