New Birth Family Counseling is a faith-optional, integrative counseling practice in San Diego's Mission Valley, combining professional therapy with functional wellness support. We're cash-pay by design, so our clinicians spend their time with clients, not fighting insurance panels or session caps.

Current Openings

Licensed Therapist & Clinical Supervisor · Part-Time

We're looking for an experienced licensed clinician (LMFT, LCSW, or LPCC) to carry a caseload and lead clinical supervision for our associates and graduate trainees. You'll see individual, couples, and family clients in person at our Mission Valley office and by telehealth, and serve as on-site supervisor for a small team of up to four supervisees.

$90 to $110 per session, plus paid supervision time · W-2 · Hybrid (Mission Valley + telehealth)

What the role looks like:

10 to 15 client sessions per week, growing with our full-fee referrals
Weekly group supervision (2 hours) and rotating individual supervision
Case consultation, chart review, and mentoring for associates and trainees working toward licensure

Requirements:

Active, clear California license (LMFT, LCSW, or LPCC), held at least 2 years
BBS supervisor training completed, or willing to complete before starting
Able to supervise in person at our Mission Valley office
Experience with trauma, couples, or child and family work
Strong, timely documentation habits

Strong pluses: prior supervision experience, EMDR, Gottman or EFT training, experience with graduate practicum programs, evening or weekend availability.

Associate Clinician

We're looking for an associate-level clinician (AMFT, ASW, or APCC) to grow a caseload with us, starting on telehealth with the option to move to in-person at our Mission Valley office as your caseload builds.

Master's degree in counseling, social work, or marriage & family therapy
Active, unrestricted provisional license in California (AMFT / ASW / APCC)
Comfortable working within a private-pay practice
Aligned with an integrative, whole-person approach to care
Open to feedback and invested in clinical growth
