Mary brings empathy, warmth, and a gentle sense of humor into every session. She uses a person-centered, trauma-informed approach, believing that healing begins when people feel safe, seen, and accepted exactly as they are. Rather than handing clients a one-size-fits-all plan, Mary meets people where they are and works alongside them to set goals that feel meaningful and achievable.
Her background in crisis intervention and medical social work has given her experience supporting people through some of life's hardest moments, from sudden emotional distress to the stress of illness, loss, and major life changes. Clients often find her steady, calm presence a relief when life feels overwhelming. She is especially attuned to how emotional struggles and physical health affect one another, which makes her a natural fit for New Birth's whole-person approach.
Mary values ongoing learning and enjoys sharing what she has learned, so clients leave sessions with practical tools they can use in everyday life. She sees clients in person at our Mission Valley office and by telehealth anywhere in California.

Therapy that fits your schedule
Mary sees clients Thursday through Sunday, including evenings and weekends, so therapy can fit around work, school, and family life. Sessions with Mary are $150 for individual therapy and $175 for couples and family sessions.
As an associate, Mary provides therapy under the clinical supervision of Diamond Griffin, LCSW, and is supported by the full New Birth clinical team.
