You may be able to use your insurance benefits — even though we don't bill directly.

If you have a PPO insurance plan, your benefits likely include out-of-network coverage for mental health services. Many of our clients receive 40–80% reimbursement on their sessions.

We provide a detailed superbill — an itemized receipt with all required billing codes — that you submit to your insurer directly. You pay us at the time of your session; your insurance reimburses you.

Our philosophy

Why we chose to stay private pay

When insurance companies are involved in your care, they require a formal psychiatric diagnosis for every session, limit how often you can be seen, and retain the right to audit your clinical notes. Our integrative model — functional medicine, root-cause assessment, mind-body care — doesn't fit insurance billing codes. And your healing shouldn't have to.

No mandatory diagnosis
You are more than a billing code. We treat you as a whole person, not a condition on a claim form.
Your notes stay private
Insurance companies can request and review your clinical records. Your story belongs to you alone.
Your full model, your way
Functional medicine, lab work, and integrative care aren't covered by insurance — but they're central to what we do.

Common questions

We want you to feel completely clear on how fees and payments work before your first session. If your question isn't here, ask us during your free consultation.

Do you offer payment plans? +
Yes. We offer flexible payment plans for individual therapy and EMDR packages. The details are discussed during your free consultation. We want financial barriers to be as small as possible on your healing journey — please ask us.
What is a superbill and how do I use it? +
A superbill is a detailed receipt that includes all of the billing codes your insurance company needs to process a reimbursement claim. We generate yours monthly through our practice management system. You simply submit it to your insurer through their online member portal or by mail, and they reimburse you directly — typically within 2 to 4 weeks.
Can I use my HSA or FSA card? +
Yes — HSA (Health Savings Account) and FSA (Flexible Spending Account) cards are accepted and can be used to pay for therapy sessions directly at the time of service. Therapy is a qualified healthcare expense under both account types. No superbill is needed for these payments.
How do I find out if my PPO plan covers out-of-network therapy? +
Call the member services number on the back of your insurance card and ask: "What are my out-of-network mental health benefits?" Key things to ask about: your out-of-network deductible, your coinsurance percentage after the deductible is met, and whether there is a session limit per year. Most PPO plans cover 40–80% of out-of-network therapy costs once your deductible is met.
What is your cancellation policy? +
We ask for 24 hours' notice to cancel or reschedule your session. Sessions cancelled with less than 24 hours' notice are charged at 50% of the session rate. We understand that life is unpredictable — please reach out as early as possible if you need to adjust your appointment and we will always do our best to accommodate you.
Do you offer sliding scale rates? +
A limited number of reduced-rate spots are available for clients experiencing genuine financial hardship. Please mention this during your free consultation and we will do our best to find an option that works for your situation. We are committed to keeping care as accessible as possible within our model.
